Marion Tinsley Checkers Champion Dominance

From 1950 to 1995, checkers legend Marion Tinsley lost only seven games, two of them to the Chinook computer, while holding world titles in 1955-1958 and 1975-1991. After officials barred a computer from playing for the human crown, Tinsley resigned his title and beat Chinook 4-2 in a 1992 match. The American Checkers Federation and English Draughts Association later called the world title worthless as long as he was alive and made him World Champion Emeritus.
