William Burke: The Body Snatcher Killer

In 1829, Scottish criminal William Burke and his partner William Hare murdered victims and sold their bodies to medical schools in Edinburgh. Burke was convicted and hanged, and his body was handed over to anatomists for dissection. Scientists used his blood to write medical inscriptions and even bound a book with his preserved skin.
