In 1996, Travis Lewis murdered Sally Snowden McKay and her nephew at their family estate in Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas. After serving 23 years in prison, he was released and astonishingly hired by Martha McKay, Sally's daughter, who believed in forgiveness and wanted to help him rebuild his life. In 2020, Lewis returned to the same home and killed Martha during a robbery attempt. He fled the scene and drowned after crashing into a nearby lake while trying to escape police.
