The Fish That Causes Orange Oil

Escolar, a deep-sea fish often mislabeled as "butterfish" or "white tuna," contains indigestible wax esters that can cause a condition called keriorrhea. Eating too much of it leads to oily, orange diarrhea as the body expels the waxy compounds. Despite its rich flavor, many countries warn against or even ban its sale because of these unpleasant effects.
