Fusako Sano's Captivity Tale

In 1990, 9-year-old Fusako Sano was kidnapped in Japan by 28-year-old Nobuyuki Sat?. He kept her confined in a small, cluttered room of his home for over nine years, using threats and intimidation to prevent her from escaping, because he wanted total control over her life. She was finally rescued in 2000 at the age of 19, frail and suffering from PTSD and physical weakness after years of isolation. Tragically, in 2007, her father drowned in a pond while spending time with her.
