Ronnie James Dio's Mic Mishap

When Ronnie James Dio came to record his part for Tenacious D's 2006 track "Kickapoo," he arrived carrying his own microphone. The producer assured him their studio mic was state-of-the-art and insisted he use it instead. On his very first take, Dio's legendary vocals blew out the studio mic, forcing the engineers to switch back to the one he had brought.
