The Simpsons' Flexible Theme Variations

Starting with Season 2, "The Simpsons" created three variations of its opening theme: a full 1-minute-15-second version, a 45-second version, and a 25-second version. This allowed editors flexibility to adjust episode lengths and include more footage.
