Denny is the name given to a ~13-year-old girl who lived approximately 90,000 years ago, discovered in 2012 among bone fragments at Denisova Cave in Siberia, Russia. Genetic sequencing revealed she was the first known first-generation hybrid-born to a Neanderthal mother and a Denisovan father-making her the only confirmed human ancestor of such mixed heritage.
