Human-Pig Hybrids Created in 2017

In 2017, researchers at the Salk Institute created the first human-pig chimeric embryos by injecting human stem cells into early-stage pig embryos to explore growing human organs for transplants. The embryos developed for 28 days before being terminated and were about 1/10,000th human.
