2003 Hepatitis Outbreak at Chi-Chi's

In 2003, hepatitis from green onions sickened 650 people in the Pittsburgh area who dined at Chi-Chi's, a Tex-Mex restaurant chain. The outbreak resulted in four deaths and 485 hospitalizations, leading to Chi-Chi's closing nationwide in 2004.
