Giant Penguin Fossil Unearthed

In 2009, scientists from New Zealand discovered fossil remains of an extinct colossal penguin in Antarctica. This giant penguin stood nearly 7 feet tall and weighed around 250 pounds. The species, known as Palaeeudyptes klekowskii, likely went extinct due to climate changes and a decline in available food sources during the Eocene Epoch.
