The 1997 "Dead Man Walking" tornado in Jarrell, Texas, was a slow-moving F5 twister with winds exceeding 260 mph. It hovered over a subdivision for three minutes, obliterating everything and killing 27 people and hundreds of cattle, whose remains were so violently churned together they became unrecognizable.
