Button-Up vs. Button-Down Shirts

The difference between button-up and button-down shirts lies in the collar. Button-down shirts feature buttons at the collar ends to fasten it to the shirt. Consequently, all button-down shirts are button-up shirts, but not all button-up shirts are button-down.
