Mbps vs. MBps Internet Speeds

The difference between Mbps and MBps is that when internet providers advertise speeds of up to 100 Mbps, they are referring to Megabits per second, not Megabytes per second. Since one megabyte equals eight megabits, a speed of 100 Mbps is equivalent to 12.5 MBps.
