Eastwood's Directorial Takeover

During the filming of "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (1976), Clint Eastwood convinced the producer to fire the director and took over the role himself. Consequently, the Directors Guild of America established the Eastwood Rule, prohibiting an actor or producer from firing the director and then becoming the director.
