Spinal Tap's Improvised Dialogue

In "This Is Spinal Tap" (1984), the actors improvised virtually all the dialogue. They received outlines indicating where scenes would begin and end, but they created everything else. To capture natural reactions, the filmmakers often used the first take in the film.
