In 1962, geologist Michel Siffre discovered that the human body can naturally settle into a sleep-wake cycle of up to 50 hours when deprived of a day/night cycle. He entered a dark cave intending to stay for two months, assuming one sleep equaled one day. However, he miscalculated by two weeks.
