Woman Trapped in Elevator for Days

In 1988, 76-year-old Kively Papajohn from New York City was trapped in her apartment building's elevator for six days. Living alone, she became stuck while returning from grocery shopping. With no other residents in the building, her absence went unnoticed until her niece eventually checked on her. During the ordeal, she rationed her groceries to survive. The elevator was so small she couldn't lie down to sleep. Her experience set a world record for the longest time trapped in an elevator.
