London's Post-War Population Recovery

Due to World War II, London's population fell dramatically, not returning to pre-war levels until January 2015. The city's population peaked at around 8.6 million in 1939 and dropped to just over 6.8 million by the 1980s due to wartime devastation and post-war decline.
