Pitcairn Islands' Scandal

In 2004, nearly one-third of the adult male population of the Pitcairn Islands, including the mayor, were convicted of child sex assault. His son, who later became mayor, is also a convicted sex offender. Another mayor, who served between them, was convicted for possessing child pornography.
