In 1988, Philly gangster Jackie DiNorscio participated in the longest criminal trial in U.S. history. He fired his lawyer and defended himself, using charm and wit despite having no legal experience. He convinced a jury to acquit him and 19 other defendants of charges including loansharking, extortion, trafficking, arson, and murder.
