Orangutan Outsmarts Zoo Security

In 2009, an orangutan at an Australian zoo devised and then executed an ingenious escape plan. She disabled her enclosure’s electric fence by jamming a stick into the wiring and piled up debris to scale a wall. However, after sitting on the fence for 30 minutes, she voluntarily returned.
