Found in Florida and the Caribbean, the Manchineel is one of the most dangerous trees in the world. Its sap causes severe skin blistering and blindness, and its water-soluble toxins make standing beneath it in the rain hazardous. Even its smoke can blind, and every part of the tree is lethally toxic. Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León was reportedly killed by an arrow poisoned with its sap. Its nickname? "Little Apple of Death."
