Bangor’s Troop Greeters Tradition

The Maine Troop Greeters, a volunteer organization at Bangor International Airport, have welcomed over 1.5 million troops since 1991. Regardless of the time of day, U.S. military personnel and allies receive a handshake, access to a free cell phone, and a cookie.
