Tuvalu Airport Doubles as Playground

Only three flights operate weekly to and from Tuvalu in the South Pacific. When the Funafuti Airport airstrip is not in use, it transforms into a public space for sports and social gatherings. A siren blares to alert residents when they need to clear the runway for an approaching flight.
