Sonic Boom Shatters Airport Glass

During the 1959 opening ceremony of Ottawa International Airport's new terminal, a USAF F-104 Starfighter performed a supersonic flypast. The resulting sonic boom shattered nearly all the airport's glass and caused significant structural damage, delaying the terminal's opening by a year.
