NYC Mayor’s Airport Protest

In the 1930s, New Jersey housed the only commercial airport serving New York City. To protest this, NYC Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia once refused to deplane in New Jersey because his ticket stated "New York City." As a result, the airline flew him to NYC.
