UK’s Secret Nuclear Bunker Railway

In the 1950s, England built an underground city to shelter 4,000 key government employees in the event of a nuclear strike. The facility included 60 miles of roadways, an underground lake for fresh water, and a railway for transporting the royal family. The project remained secret until it was revealed to the public in 2004.
