Burr Killed Hamilton While VP

In July 1804, Aaron Burr, while serving as U.S. Vice President, killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel. He continued his term for another eight months. Hamilton's shooting in New Jersey and subsequent death in New York complicated the murder charges.
