Toxic Pufferfish Proves Deadly

Japanese actor Bandō Mitsugorō VIII claimed immunity to fugu kimo, the naturally toxic liver of the pufferfish. Defying warnings, he ate four portions in a Kyoto restaurant in 1975. Unfortunately, he died just eight hours later.
