Sioux Reject $106M Settlement

In 1980, the U.S. Supreme Court awarded the Sioux Nation $106 million ($600 million in today's value) for the U.S. government's illegal seizure of their land in violation of the 1877 Act of February. Not a single Sioux accepted the money, stating that they only wanted their land back.
