McDonald’s Strip Search Hoax

A jury awarded $6.1 million to a McDonald's employee who was tricked into a strip search and sexually assaulted by her manager following a prank call in 2004. The caller, posing as a police officer, convinced managers at various restaurants and grocery stores to conduct extensive strip searches of female employees. Over a ten-year period, more than 70 similar incidents occurred.
