Myers Lawsuit Leads to Role

After canceling on a prior project, Mike Myers faced a lawsuit, which led him to act in Cat in the Hat. He settled, and one of the terms of the agreement was that he would take the lead in another film by director Bo Welch, who ended up directing The Cat in the Hat.
