Woman Kept Dead Roommate for 18 Months

In 2012, Michigan authorities discovered that a woman named Linda Chase had kept her deceased roommate, Charles Williams Zigler, in a recliner chair for 18 months. She confessed to talking to his mummified body daily and even watching NASCAR on TV with his corpse. When police conducted a welfare check and found the body, Linda admitted she didn't want to be alone. She also revealed that she had been cashing his Social Security checks at that time.
