Einstein, Freud, and War Causes

In 1931, Albert Einstein wrote a letter to Sigmund Freud titled "Why War?" to explore the psychological causes of war. Freud replied that biological evolution, power imbalances within groups, and the paradox of peace (where times of peace enable empire-building) contribute to the causes of war.
