Children Sneak Onto Film Set

While filming Metropolis (1927), filmmakers often ended up with more children on set in the evening than they had in the morning. Children from the poorest areas of Berlin would sneak onto the set or climb fences to enjoy the warm rooms, games, toys, cocoa, cake, and regular meals.
