Ex-Con Impersonates U.S. Army Captain

During the response to a major bridge collapse in Oklahoma in 2002, an ex-con impersonated a U.S. Army captain and took control of the disaster site. He directed FBI agents, commandeered vehicles and equipment, and led rescue efforts for two days before fleeing the scene.
