Future Pakistani Leader Greets Hijackers

In 1971, an Indian Airlines flight was hijacked and flown to Lahore, Pakistan. There, future President and Prime Minister Zulfikar Bhutto welcomed the hijackers and paid tribute to them. In response, India closed its airspace to Pakistan, a decision that played a significant role in the 1971 war.
