In 1972, authorities arrested two students who were planning to contaminate Chicago's water supply with typhoid, anthrax, and other diseases. Released on bond, they hijacked a plane and forced it to go to Cuba. One died in prison while the other eventually returned to the U.S. and received five years of probation.
