Flight Attendant Hero Saves Passengers

In 1986, Palestinian terrorists hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 in Pakistan. When they demanded the passengers' passports, Neerja Bhanot, a 22-year-old Indian flight attendant, bravely hid 41 American passports. She tragically died while shielding three children from gunfire and was posthumously awarded bravery medals by both India and the United States.
