In 2016, while filming a movie about a plane hijacking at Malta's airport, a real-life hijacking occurred, halting production. The crew repurposed footage of passengers exiting the real hijacked plane for the movie, even casting some passengers as extras. The producer described it as a "blessing from the sky on a day of bad acting."
