USS Wisconsin’s Fiery Retaliation

A single direct shell from a North Korean 155mm gun battery struck the USS Wisconsin in 1952. Although the damage was minimal, Wisconsin retaliated with all nine of its Mark 7 16-inch guns, completely obliterating the North Korean battery. A nearby escort ship humorously signaled, "Temper, temper."
