Ulfberht Swords Made from Crucible Steel

During the Viking period, a brand of sword known as the Ulfberht swords was made from crucible steel imported from India. The steel's exceptional quality made the swords so valuable that forgers imitated the Ulfberht name on lower-quality swords, much like fake designer logos today.
