Vikings Brought Native Wives Home

Vikings brought Native American wives to Iceland, and their DNA is still present on the island. A genetic study of Icelanders found that some carry a mutation predominantly found among Native Americans, suggesting that American women bred with Viking men during Norse exploration of America in the 11th century A.D.
