CIA’s Bin Laden Doll Influence

In 2005, the CIA commissioned Donald Levine, creator of the G.I. Joe doll, to design an Osama Bin Laden doll with heat-sensitive paint that transformed his face into a demonic visage, intending to discourage children in the Middle East from idolizing the terrorist leader. Despite the plan to covertly distribute the dolls, the execution of this "influence operation" remains unclear due to the production of only three prototype dolls and the CIA's denial of their deployment.
