Double-Muscled' Mice

Lack of myostatin can result in excessive muscle growth. 'Double-muscled' mice, which lack myostatin (a protein inhibiting muscle growth), exhibit excessive muscle growth but impaired force generation. Essentially, they are more muscular but not necessarily stronger.
