Gone in 60 Seconds Stunt

When filming the 40-minute chase sequence for the 1974 film "Gone in 60 Seconds," H.B. Halicky was seriously injured after a 100-mph crash. After recovery, he returned to the set and jumped a 1973 Mustang 30-foot high for one of the final scenes. The rough landing cost him 10 compacted vertebrae.
