During World War 2, the U.S. developed Bat-Bombs, which were casings filled with bomb-carrying bats intended to set fire to wooden buildings in Japanese cities when deployed. However, it backfired when the bats ended up blowing up fuel and ammo facilities when deployed at a U.S. airfield.
