Stephen Hawking: ALS Survival

When Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in 1963, doctors predicted he had about two and a half years to live. Fortunately, the disease progressed much more slowly than expected, and Hawking lived until the age of 76 before passing away on March 14, 2018.
