Slash: Cardiomyopathy Survivor

In 2001, Slash, the renowned guitarist, received a diagnosis of cardiomyopathy due to drug and alcohol abuse. He was given a prognosis of between 6 days and 6 weeks to live, but he defied the odds and now has a defibrillator implanted inside him.
